At Andaluz, we invite you to embark on an immersive dining experience that bridges the rich cultural legacies of Andalucía, Spain, and Puerto Rico. Nestled at the gateway of Old San Juan, within the Alma San Juan hotel, Andaluz celebrates the deep historical ties between these two regions. The centuries-long Moorish influence in Andalucía shaped its architecture, cuisine, and traditions. When Spanish settlers, many from Andalucía, arrived in Puerto Rico, they brought these cultural elements with them, leaving a lasting imprint on the island.

Our menu is a tribute to this shared history, blending the bold, sun-drenched flavors of Andalusian cuisine with the vibrant ingredients of Puerto Rico, locally and sustainably sourced. From the prized azafrán of Spain to the comforting sofrito of Puerto Rico, each dish tells the story of a culinary journey rooted in centuries of cultural exchange.

The Andaluz experience is about more than just a meal. It’s about savoring the moment, enjoying the tradition of “sobremesa”—lingering at the table to share conversation, stories, and the joy of good company. Surrounded by original Puerto Rican artwork and evocative images of Old San Juan and Spanish landscapes, every visit to Andaluz is a celebration of flavors, history, and culture, where the past and present converge seamlessly.
